Guidelines

• Work that you send must be your own.
• Include your first name, age and state with your work. Your age is required.
• This forum is open to all young people (young children, pre-teens, teens and 20’s), with a preference given to writers and artists under 21.
• If you are under 18, I can’t print your last name on the site without your parent’s or guardian’s permission. (I know that rule seems unfair, but it is for legal reasons!)
• You are free to express yourself as long as what you write or send relates to the subjects on this website or kid’s human rights issues.
• Tasteless content or excessive profanity that is out of context to the subject will not be published.
• Although it is ok to discuss oppression and anger issues and raise honest questions, work that shows hatred or disrespect for people will not be published- that goes for EVERYONE!
• If you write to me about abuse or suicide: I am a mandated reporter of child abuse and neglect. That means that if you write to me and tell me that you are actively experiencing physical or sexual abuse or neglect, or are planning to hurt yourself or someone else, I legally have to report it to child protective services. I can’t report without knowing your full name and address, so if you need help, you will need to provide that information. Please visit the Support link on this site for help with these issues.
